If you've been using TG Cleaner to bulk-leave Telegram groups and channels, you already know how much time it saves. But we heard you loud and clear leaving isn't always the answer.

Today we're rolling out three major new features that give you complete control over your Telegram chat list: 

1. 🔇 Bulk Mute — Permanently silence hundreds of chats at once 
2. 📦 Bulk Archive — Move chats to your Archive folder in bulk 
3. 👻 Clean Deleted Accounts — Scan and remove conversations with deleted Telegram users 

All three features include real-time progress tracking and run as background tasks meaning you won't get stuck staring at a loading screen. 

Feature 1: Bulk Mute Telegram Chats 

The problem: You're in 200+ groups. Half of them ping you constantly. Telegram only lets you mute chats one at a time. That's 100+ taps just to get some peace. 

The solution: TG Cleaner now lets you select any number of groups and channels, then mute them all with a single click. 

How to Bulk Mute Chats 

1. Log in to TG Cleaner with your Telegram phone number 
2. On the Select page, click the "Mute" tab at the top 
3. Select the chats you want to mute use the search bar, type filter (groups/channels), or "Select All" 
4. Click the "Mute Selected" button 
5. Confirm in the dialog and watch the real-time progress bar as each chat gets silenced 

Muted chats stay in your chat list you just won't receive notifications from them anymore. This is perfect for groups you want to keep but don't want pinging you all day. 

💡 Pro tip: Use the member count filter to find large, noisy groups first. Groups with 1,000+ members are usually the worst offenders. 

Feature 2: Bulk Archive Telegram Chats 

The problem: Your Telegram chat list is a mile long. Old project groups, expired promotions, one-time conversations they're all still there, taking up space and making it hard to find the chats that actually matter. 

The solution: Archive them in bulk. Archived chats move to Telegram's Archive folder they're not deleted, and you can unarchive them anytime. But they stop cluttering your main chat list. 

How to Bulk Archive Chats 

1. Log in to TG Cleaner 
2. Switch to the "Archive" tab 
3. Select the chats you want to archive 
4. Click "Archive Selected" and confirm 
5. The progress overlay shows you exactly how many chats have been archived in real time 

This is ideal for spring-cleaning your Telegram without losing access to anything. Think of it as moving old files to a folder instead of throwing them away. 

💡 Pro tip: Look for the Admin badge next to groups where you're an admin. You probably don't want to archive those by accident! 

Feature 3: Auto-Clean Deleted Accounts 

The problem: When someone deletes their Telegram account, the conversation stays in your chat list as a ghost "Deleted Account" entry. Over time, these pile up. Some users have 30, 50, even 100+ deleted account conversations cluttering their DMs. 

Telegram doesn't give you any way to find or remove these in bulk. You'd have to scroll through your entire chat list, spot each "Deleted Account," open it, and manually delete the conversation. One. By. One. 

The solution: TG Cleaner scans your entire chat list, finds every deleted account conversation, and lets you remove them all at once. 

How to Clean Deleted Accounts 

1. Log in to TG Cleaner 
2. Switch to the "Clean" tab 
3. Click "Scan for Deleted Accounts" 
4. TG Cleaner scans your entire dialog list (not just the first page — we check everything) 
5. Review the list of deleted accounts found, with their user IDs 
6. Click "Delete All Conversations" to remove them 

The conversations are fully removed not just cleared. They won't reappear when you refresh your chat list. The dialogs are gone for good. 

👻 Real example: During testing, one of our team members found 45 deleted account conversations they didn't even know existed. That's 45 phantom chats gone in under a minute. 

Background Processing with Real-Time Progress 

All three features (Mute, Archive, Clean Deleted) now run as background tasks. Here's what that means for you: 

1. No timeouts — Even if you're processing 200+ chats, the operation won't fail due to a browser timeout 
2. Real-time progress bar — You see exactly how many chats have been processed (e.g., "14 / 28 processed (50%)") 
3. Rate-limit safe — Each operation includes a built-in 0.6-second delay between chats to protect your account from Telegram's rate limits 
4. Flood protection — If Telegram rate-limits your account mid-operation, TG Cleaner automatically handles the wait and skips remaining items if the wait is too long 

Previously, bulk operations ran synchronously meaning your browser had to wait for every single chat to be processed before getting a response. For 28 chats, that's nearly 20 seconds of staring at a spinner with no feedback. Now you get instant confirmation that the task started, plus live progress updates every 1.5 seconds. 

Admin Badge: Know Where You're an Admin 

We also added a small but important UX improvement: Admin badges in the chat list. 

When you load your chats in TG Cleaner, any group or channel where you're an admin or creator now shows a visible badge. This helps you avoid accidentally muting, archiving, or leaving a group you manage. 

No more "wait, was I the admin in that group?" moments.
