# New Features: Bulk Mute, Archive & Auto-Clean Deleted Accounts — TG Cleaner Update (May 2026)

Today we're rolling out **three major new features** that give you complete control over your Telegram chat list:

## Feature 1: Bulk Mute Telegram Chats

**The problem:** You're in 200+ groups. Half of them ping you constantly. Telegram only lets you mute chats one at a time. That's 100+ taps just to get some peace.

**The solution:** TG Cleaner now lets you select any number of groups and channels, then mute them all with a single click.

### How to Bulk Mute Chats

1. **Log in** to [TG Cleaner](https://tgcleaner.com/) with your Telegram phone number
2. On the Select page, click the **"Mute" tab** at the top
3. **Select the chats** you want to mute use the search bar, type filter (groups/channels), or "Select All"
4. Click the **"Mute Selected" button**

Muted chats stay in your chat list you just won't receive notifications from them anymore. This is **perfect for groups you want to keep but don't want pinging you all day**.

## Feature 2: Bulk Archive Telegram Chats

**The problem:** Your Telegram chat list is a mile long. Old project groups, expired promotions, one-time conversations they're all still there, taking up space and making it hard to find the chats that actually matter.

**The solution:** Archive them in bulk. Archived chats move to Telegram's Archive folder they're not deleted, and you can unarchive them anytime. But they stop cluttering your main chat list.

### How to Bulk Archive Chats

3. **Select the chats** you want to archive

## Background Processing with Real-Time Progress

All three features (Mute, Archive, Clean Deleted) now run as **background tasks**. Here's what that means for you:

1. **No timeouts** — Even if you're processing 200+ chats, the operation won't fail due to a browser timeout
2. **Real-time progress bar** — You see exactly how many chats have been processed (e.g., "14 / 28 processed (50%)")
3. **Rate-limit safe** — Each operation includes a built-in 0.6-second delay between chats to protect your account from Telegram's rate limits
4. **Flood protection** — If Telegram rate-limits your account mid-operation, TG Cleaner automatically handles the wait and skips remaining items if the wait is too long

Previously, bulk operations ran synchronously meaning your browser had to wait for every single chat to be processed before getting a response. For 28 chats, that's nearly 20 seconds of staring at a spinner with no feedback. Now you get instant confirmation that the task started, plus live progress updates every 1.5 seconds.

## Admin Badge: Know Where You're an Admin

We also added a small but important UX improvement: **Admin badges** in the chat list.

When you load your chats in TG Cleaner, any group or channel where you're an **admin or creator** now shows a visible badge. This helps you avoid accidentally muting, archiving, or leaving a group you manage.

No more "wait, was I the admin in that group?" moments.
